Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy to keep striving for AP special status
Nellore: YSRC chief Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy continued his Prajasankalpa Yatra from Pedda Konduru village in Udayagiri constituency that enteredthe 86th day on Tuesday. People vied with each other to shake hands with Jagan Mohan Reddy and his bodyguards while police had a tough time controlling the milling crowds in the villages he covered during his Walkathon.
Jagan interacted with people while crossing Peddapalli, Veerareddy and Polampadu villages. He concluded the Yatra with a public meeting at Kaligiri bus stand. He said his party leaders would protest before the collector offices across the state on March 1 to intensify pressure for Special Category Status. The Leader of Opposition said that the fight will be taken to the national capital with the party MPs, MLAs and others marching to Parliament on March 5.
He said the fight will continue at various forums for SCS inside and outside Parliament throughout the budget session. He said his party M's would submit their resignations on April 6 if the demand of SCS is not met with before the session ending. Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy, Nellore District Convener of YSRC and Sarveypalli legislator Kakani Govardhan Reddy, ZP Chairman B. Raghavendra Reddy, Nagari legislator RK Roja, Atmakur legislator Mekapati Gautham Reddy and Udayagiri constituency in-charge Mekapati Chandrasekhar Reddy were present. Meanwhile the opposition leader greeted people of the two Telugu states on the occasion of Maha Sivarathri.
