Bengaluru: The BJP has alleged that Chamarajpet MLA Zameer Ahmed Khan was behind the killing of Kadiresh, a BJP leader and husband of a corporator, recently.
Staging a protest here on Tuesday demanding that the state government arrest the accused, BJP general secretary N. Ravikumar demanded that the police should investigate the role of Mr Khan in the incident. Hindus and BJP workers were being murdered in the state but the government has turned a blind eye to the killings, he said. He also referred to the fact that Bengaluru Development Minister K.J. George was an accused in the death case of DySP M.K. Ganapathy but AICC President Rahul Gandhi was mum on the charges against Mr George and others.
Mr Ravikumar alleged that Home Minister Ramalinga Reddy was trying to hush up the case of another BJP worker, Santosh, who was killed in Chinnappa Garden in the city recently.
The police inquiry had found that Santosh was stabbed with a knife, but Mr Reddy had given a misleading statement, he claimed.
