Australian police visit Abids Road police station

The team was taken through all sections in the police station including the reception, officers' chambers and the lock-up.

Hyderabad: A six-member team of Australian police including a woman officer visited the Abids Road police station here to acquaint themselves with the policing practices and use of technology. The team is in India for training at the National Police Academy. DCP Central Zone V.B. Kamalasan Reddy explained to them about functioning of the police station. The team was taken through all sections in the police station including the reception, officers’ chambers and the lock-up. They were explained about the petition process, maintenance of records, monitoring of surroundings through CCTV cameras, registering an FIR using e-cops online portal, patrol cars tracking system and online crime mapping.
