TPCC Senior Leader Demands Apology from BJP's Prabhakar for Allegations Against CM

Hyderabad: TPCC senior vice-president Mallu Ravi demanded that BJP leader N.V.S.S. Prabhakar apologise and retract his statement terming Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy as being subservient to Delhi.

Ravi said the remarks were against the spirit of the Constitution and that Revanth Reddy was going to Delhi only to resolve problems that the state was facing.

In a video message, Ravi said, “CM Revanth Reddy is not going to Delhi for his personal work. He is trying to get funds and clearances for pending works in the state. The visits are being made for cordial relations with the Centre.”

“Many problems which need funds for resolution had been left unattended by KCR. Revanth Reddy is meeting Prime Minister Narendra Modi, home minister Amit Shah, defence minister Rajnath Singh, finance minister Nirmala Sitharaman, the Union industries and water resources ministers and UPSC chairman.”

He said that of the Six Guarantees that the Congress had promised, two had been implemented. “The BJP which is in power at the Centre instead of helping the state is creating hurdles and its leaders are speaking with an eye on the elections,” Ravi said.

In a separate statement on remarks by BJP general secretary Bandi Sanjay Kumar that the BRS was trying to unseat the ruling party, Congress TPCC general secretary Addanki Dayakar said, “The comments by Bandi Sanjay have once again exposed the friendship between the BJP and the BRS. We are very clear about the unethical politics indulged in by the BJP. This is a people's government. They will protect it by all means. Attempts to unseat it will not be tolerated by the people.”
