CCB Police exam paper leak: 5 held

The police had found out that 116 job applicants, mostly from North Karnataka, were waiting outside to collect the question papers.

BENGALURU: CCB police have arrested five people in connection with the question paper leak of civil police constable exam.

They had earlier raided a place in Kodagu and arrested a man for selling the papers with answers to the applicants a day before the exam on November 24.

The accused, Shivakumar, was caught red handed while selling the question paper with answers at a room in Kalmatta Sri Nanjundeshwara Vidya Mandir in Somwarpet Taluk in Kodagu.

The police had found out that 116 job applicants, mostly from North Karnataka, were waiting outside to collect the question papers.

The police had formed eight special teams who were sent to different cities in the state and based on credible information they have taken five people into custody.

The police said the arrested five were demanding lakhs of rupees from the applicants in exchange for question paper.
