No violation of discipline, says Justice Kurian Joseph
Kochi: Justice Kurian Joseph, who is among four senior-most justices to revolt against the CJI’s “selective” case allocation and lack of order in the court, on Saturday hoped the issues raised by them would be resolved.
He rejected suggestions that the justices had violated discipline and expressed the hope that their actions would restore transparency in the administration of the Supreme Court.
The justices had acted only to “enhance the trust of the people in judiciary”, he said.
Meanwhile, speaking to reporters on the sidelines of a function of the Syro-Malabar Church in Kochi he said the issues raised by them was not against any individual.
Justice Joseph said that there was no scope for any external intervention in the matter. Even the President of India cannot interfere in the matter, he said.
