Hyderabad: Car on fire at Nuclear Fuel Complex

A fire tender rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

Hyderabad: A Hyundai i10 car parked near the north gate of the Nuclear Fuel Complex at Kushaiguda suddenly caught fire on Friday morning. The car belonged to an employee of the fuel complex. A fire tender rushed to the spot and doused the fire.

Police said Nigam Kumar Singh from Moula Ali, who is working as a scientific officer at the NFC came for work on Friday in his Hyundai i20 car. Around 8.40 am, he parked his vehicle in the parking lot and entered office.

Fifteen minutes later, smoke erupted from the front part of the vehicle, and within a few minutes it was on fire. The fire spread to the engine and the bonnet of the car.

Other employees in the parking lot alerted the fire personnel at NFC. A fire tender rushed to the spot and doused the fire. Police said that a short circuit in the engine could have caused the fire. A fire accident case was registered.
