Bengaluru: Koramangala police have arrested five persons in connection with illegal selling of desert lizards. Those arrested have been identified as Shakthi A, Mallaraj, Gopi M, Karna G, and Ivatta Reddy.
The accused had procured the desert lizards from Rajasthan, that are said to be found only in the desert state.
Police investigation revealed that miscreants had obtained liquid from the tail of the desert lizard and used it as a medicine. The accused belonged to a tribal community. The police have launched a hunt for the main accused who supplied them desert lizards. The investigation is on.
