Kutami to keep up the fight
Hyderabad: After its defeat, the Prajakutami would take on the government on the policies that are against the people and development. The leaders of Congress, Telangana Jana Samithi (TJS) and Communist Party of India (CPI) said they accepted the mandate and said that irrespective of the defeat they were ready to serve the people.
Balladeer Gaddar who has campaigned for the Prajakutami said, “I don’t belong to any political party. I have fought for the rights and development of Telangana people. Though the Kutami has lost the elections, it will not stop me from fighting for the people. I have written a new song yesterday for the people and will release it soon.”
The TJS said it would pin the government on its manifesto. TJS president M. Kodandaram said, “The TRS copied the manifesto of the Prajakutami. Its implementation is mandatory as the people have voted them after the seeing their promises.”
He said that before the TJS was formed, the TJAC was working for the people. “Victory and defeat doesn’t make any difference. If we were voted to power, we might have had the power to implement the promises. As the people have not voted for us, we have the power to fight.”
CPI state secretary Chada Venkat Reddy said that Prajakutami agenda was overtaken by the sentiment politics of Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao. Congratulating Mr Rao, he said his plan of advancing the elections was successful. “The Kutami was formed at the right time. There was a delay in seat adjustment. KCR has managed to distribute money and liquor during the election. The Prajakutami will get stronger.”
Earlier Congress leaders Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, A. Revanth Reddy and D.K. Aruna after their defeat said they would stand for the party workers and serve the people.
