Anyone can go anywhere in democracy, says N Chandrababu Naidu
Nellore: Reacting to TRS Chief K. Chandrasekhar Rao’s statement over presenting a return gift to AP Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu for conducting politics in Telangana, indirectly indicating that his party will enter AP, Mr Naidu said anyone could go anywhere in a democracy.
Reminding that NTR had established TDP to protect the self-respect of Telugus, he said he had worked for Telugu people wherever he was, hinting that he had given his services to the combined state.
The CM made it clear that he is not afraid of such comments and added that he would continue to work to safeguard the self respect of Telugus unlike some leaders who were conducting politics for personal benefits.
Referring to the IT raids on TD leaders after they snapped their alliance with the BJP and demand for special category status, he flayed the saffron party for ordering the raids. He also criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi for ignoring the promises he made for AP during the 2014 elections. He blamed the centre for not releasing any funds for the Polavaram project.
Stressing the need for freedom for political parties and media, Mr Chandrababu Naidu alleged that the PM was denying autonomy and this was the reason for the resignation of RBI Governor Urjit Patel. He also accused the PM for interfering in the activities of independent entities such as RBI, IT and CBI. The TDP Supremo said Tuesday’s results had cast a shadow on the future of the BJP.
