Bengaluru: Editor of Hai Bangalore Ravi Belagere, who has been accused of giving a supari to eliminate his colleague Sunil Heggaravalli for allegedly having a relationship with his second wife, is likely to move court for bail on Wednesday.
Belagere's advocate Diwakar told Deccan Chronicle that he will approach a sessions court to get his client out on bail.
Big fan following in prison
It is learnt that Ravi Belagere, who shot to fame by writing stories related to underworld and real life incidents of rowdies, has a big fan following inside the prison. On the other hand, it is learnt, there are also some inmates who hate him for his stories that put them in trouble.
"Inside the prison, tabloids like 'Hai Bangalore' and others have a good number of readers as many rowdy elements want to know what's happening in the underworld. Also, the sleaze factor in these tabloids has earned them readers. There are a good number of fans for Belagere even inside the prison," a source said.
"Some of them also want to meet Belagere, but it cannot happen because of legal and security reasons," the source added.
