Enough of caste politics, says Chinta Mohan
Vijayawada: Former Union minister Dr Chinta Mohan demanded that the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu and Leader of Opposition Mr Jagan Mohan Reddy to give up caste-based politics. Speaking to media here on Tuesday, Dr Chinta Mohan said that the seven per cent Reddy’s and Kammas do not have a right to rule the state.
“One social segment has ruled the state for 40 years and the other has ruled for 20 years. Enough is enough. Now the Dalits and the OBCs should capture the power,” Dr Chinta Mohan observed. Stating that Reddy’s are 2.5 per cent and Kammas are 4.5 per cent in the state population, Dr Chinta Mohan demanded why the rest of 93 per cent population should bear the two castes any longer.
“The time has come to cleanse the politics. The present political scenario is not what Dr B.R. Ambedkar had wished for. For every loss and struggle the state has been facing, these two castes are responsible,” Dr Chinta Mohan alleged. He, however, has evaded a direct answer to how he served as MP when Reddy’s were ruling the state.
