A Hyderabad to Kuala Lumpur flight carrying 148 passengers and 4 crew members developed a technical snag.

Hyderabad: Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad, witnessed delays, cancellation and emergency handling of flights on Monday. A Hyderabad to Kuala Lumpur flight carrying 148 passengers and 4 crew members developed a technical snag, 15 minutes after it took off The pilot had to return and make an emergency landing to attend to the technicalities. The flight again took off later on.

Oman Air flight WY251 from Muscat to Chennai was diverted to the Shamshabad Airport due to bad weather at Chennai Airport. Most of the local flights to Chennai, Vishakapat-nam and Tirupati were cancelled as the operation were shut at the Chennai Airport. Around six flights, headed for Chennai were diverted to Hyderabad and two airlines from Hyderabad to Chennai , were cancelled. Also, since the operations were closed at Tirupati, four flights to the temple town were cancelled.
