Hyderabad: A city-based person has filed a public interest litigation (PIL) in the Hyderabad High Court challenging GHMC’s inaction against people, who have illegally converted their residential buildings into commercial complexes.
The petitioner — P. Santosh Kumar a resident of Shantinagar in Secunderabad — told the court that several houses located in housing board colony at Baghlingampally have been converted into commercial complexes without seeking permission from authorities.
He said that an inner road at Nallakunta has been converted into a vegetable market and residential houses in Shivam road have turned into commercial. Despite such violations, he said the authorities are not taking action against erring people.
