Chennai: In a gesture aimed at giving some relief to the rain affected people of the State, the government on Friday announced an extension of 15 days for the deadline to pay the electricity bills for low tension consumers in Chennai, Kanchipuram, Thiruvallur and Chengalpattu districts.
An official press release said that Chief Minister M K Stalin has instructed the extension of the last day and hence those who would have to pay the bills by November 8 to 15 can take another 15 days, while those bills that would have to be paid between November 16 to 29 can pay till November 30.
