Get an insurance and carry the papers, Cyberabad traffic police advises

The police has realised a total penalty of Rs 2.40 lakh in the 11 months from January 1 to November 9.

Hyderabad: As many as 24,014 violators were caught for not carrying vehicle insurance papers in Cyberabad from January 1. Most of the challans were booked at Alwal, Madhapur, Jeedimetla, Balanagar, Miyapur, Kukatpally, Rajendranagar and the Shamshabad international airport area. Most of those booked were two-wheeler riders, police said.

The police has realised a total penalty of Rs 2.40 lakh in the 11 months from January 1 to November 9. The Cyberabad traffic police has given a 15-day deadline to motorists to get third party insurance.

Cyberabad DCP, Traffic, A.R. Srinivas said, “Many vehicles were caught in Cyberabad without third party insurance so we decided to take stringent measures against the vehicle owners. Within 15 days if the vehicle owner doesn’t get a third party insurance will be seized until they produce the documents. They have to not only get vehicle insurance but also carry the papers with them.”
