Hyderabad: The TRS finds the demonetisation of Rs 500 and Rs 1,000 notes to check black money good, but the manner in which it has been implemented, bad. TRS MP Burra Narasaiah Goud on Saturday said that the common man has been put to a lot of hardships from the day demonetisation was announced. “While the Central government scheme is good, the manner in which it is being implemented is incorrect. It is causing hardships to the common man. Hundreds of people are standing in queue for long hours to exchange notes and deposit cash,” he said. The MP further said that Centre should understand black money also exists in foreign banks.
Hitting back at the Congress criticism of Mission Kakatiya, he said that corruption ruled the roost its rule. Referring to the rumours of shortage of salt, Mr Goud advised people to lodge a complaint with the police if any trader charges more than the MRP on salt. Elsewhere, taking exception to Congress charges on Mission Kakatiya, Government Chief Whip Sudhakar Reddy said Congress was brand ambassador for corruption and it has no moral right to criticise the TRS.
“TRS is ready for an open debate on the issue. Not only in our country, but many nations abroad, including UK, complimented the state government for Mission Kakatiya. However, Congress is hell bent on criticising it,” he said.
