HYDERABAD: BJP state president K. Laxman sustained a minor injury on Friday when the party activists he was leading tried to invade Bus Bhavan at RTC Cross Roads and entered into a scuffle with police while protesting against the government's handling of strike by TSRTC employees.

The BJP president was briefly detained and when he complained of chest pain, he was admitted to the Nizam’s Institute of Medical Sciences. BJP national working president J.P. Nadda called Laxman on hearing about the incident and inquired about his well-being. Earlier, Laxman said, “BJP will neither lower its voice nor end its stir till justice is done to RTC employees. We demand that the chief minister immediately reinstate the sacked employees.”
