Karnataka CM to Madigas: Will fix your quota in 2 months
Bengaluru: Chief Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy on Friday promised protesting Dandora Madigas that the state government would take a decision on Justice A.J. Sadashiva Commission report in two months.
During a meeting with Dalit leaders here, Mr Kumaraswamy asked Social Welfare Minister Priyank Kharge to convey the message to protesting leaders that a decision would be taken after discussing the issue with Deputy Chief Minister G. Parameshwar. Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Mr Kharge said the report had not come before the cabinet for discussion. There are apprehensions among many communities of Dalits regarding this report. The government would take everyone into confidence before taking a decision and implement it, he said.
Former social welfare minister Mr H Anjaneya said people belonging to Madiga community are agitating for internal reservation.
Justice Sadashiva commission has said that no community should be left out of reservation.
The Chief Minister has promised to take all communities into confidence, he added.
