Visakhapatnam: Rs 100 crore sanctioned for beach facelift
Visakhapatnam: The state government has sanctioned Rs 100 crore for the beach face lifting from the Coastal Battery to Rushikonda coast in Vizag city. The district administration has been preparing a detailed project report for the beach facelift. District collector Pravin Kumar on Thursday visited the Beach Road to review the arrangements for the Ananda Deepavali programme in which Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu will participate.
Speaking on the occasion, the collector recollected his experiences after HudHud cyclone. Though the devastation was very big, the entire government stayed in the city and re-developed the city within no time. The state and Central government s sanctioned Rs 3,300 crore for the revival of all the systems. Erecting of one lakh LED streetlights and underground power cable project and other works were taken up after the HudHud cyclone, he added.
