Hyderabad-bound techie goes missing from Bengaluru

The incident came to light after Aditya's friend Antara Chatterjee sought help on Facebook.

BENGALURU: A missing case was registered in Kaggalipura police station after a 31-year-old Mumbai-based software professional went missing from the city on Monday night. The professional, Aditya Shrivastav, had come to the city on a business trip and was supposed to leave for Hyderabad by bus on Monday.

The incident came to light after Aditya’s friend Antara Chatterjee took to social media and sought help to trace him.

According to Antara’s post, Aditya was supposed to board a 9:30 pm bus from Bengaluru and reach Hyderabad on Tuesday morning. On Monday, around 9.12 pm, he had texted his fiancee Kritika Saxena. Aditya was going to Hyderabad to receive Kritika at the airport.

His last phone call was traced at 9.58 pm from Bellandur in Bengaluru. Before Aditya went incommunicado he told Kritika that the bus was leaving and his phone battery was running low. He assured to meet her on Tuesday, the post stated.

After two days of search didn’t yield any result, his friends on Wednesday lodged two separate missing complaints with the Hyderabad police and Kaggalipura police station.

In her post, Antara revealed that while Aditya was in Bengaluru he had stayed at Sri Sri Ravishankar’s Ashram. Police said the complainant had said that Aditya had come to the ashram. “We still have to investigate the case. We don’t know yet whether he boarded the bus or not. We are also checking for any CCTV footage evidence to find out what could have happened,” said a police officer.
