Festival Rush: KSRTC runs more buses
The festival rush also affected traffic in residential areas like Chandra Layout, Naagarabhaavi and nearby areas.
Bengaluru: Majestic bus station and adjoining areas, Mysore Road and other roads leading out of the city witnessed traffic gridlocks on Wednesday as people left for their hometowns ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Though KSRTC had earlier announced 1000 special buses on Tuesday to clear the rush, it was forced to add 400 on Wednesday due to high passenger turnout.
The festival rush also affected traffic in residential areas like Chandra Layout, Naagarabhaavi and nearby areas.
