The main task is providing easy Darshanam to devotees. There was a difference of opinion among the city police and Kanakadurga temple authorities about first Puja on the occasion of Dasara.
The police commissioner used to offer sarees, turmeric, safforn, Bangles to goddess Kanakadurga as part of this.
The temple authorities objected to this. Surya Kumari, however, ruled out any rift between the police and temple management..
The police department is ready to extend their support to make the Dasara celebrations a grand success, she said.
