Will launch rallies against H D Kumaraswamy govt, says B S Yeddyurappa

Mr Yeddyurappa also came down heavily on party workers for not working to fulfil the role of Opposition party.

Bengaluru: State BJP president B.S. Yeddyurappa on Sunday called on party cadre to work hard to highlight the failures of the JD(S)-Congress coalition government. Addressing the party's Bengaluru City Shakti Kendra Pramukhs at a convention here, Yeddyurappa said the party will soon organise massive protest rallies across the city to send out a loud and clear message to the coalition partners that the BJP will not allow them to have their way.

“Our party's main aim is to reach out to people ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, we can do this only by remaining in touch with theme. Therefore, party leaders at the grassroots need to work hard to expose the failures of this dispensation,” he said. Mr Yeddyurappa also came down heavily on party workers for not working to fulfil the role of Opposition party. “Of late, party corporaters in the BBMP have not raised city related issues in the manner they should have. These corporaters have become mute spectators, this is not acceptable," he retorted.

According to him, there is a complete breakdown in the law and order machinery in the state as well in the city, farmer suicides, a flood-like situation in many places and drought in others which the coalition government has failed to address properly.
