Nellore: ACB all set to intensify raids on corrupt officials
Nellore: Anti-Corruption Bureau is all set to intensify raids on corrupt officials in the coming days. Director General of ACB R.P. Thakur revealed this while speaking to media persons at ACB office here on Saturday. He said they have advised the government to make use of the cash seized from the corrupt officials for welfare programmes. He appealed the public to complain to them wherever officials demand money to address their issues.
He opined that corruption became a hindrance for the development of the new Andhra Pradesh state. According to Mr Thakur, Nellore and Vijayanagaram ACB units will shift to their own building, which are under construction, by December this year after inspecting the construction site during a visit to Nellore on Saturday. His said ACB office in Tirupati is going to be shifted to own premises shortly and the Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu would inaugurate the new building. He added they have plans to build own buildings for ACB units in every district. ACB Joint Director Gangadhar, DSP Parameswar Reddy, DSP Balasunar Rao and CI’s Sangameswara Rao and Venkata Rao were present with the DG.
