Overnight stay at Yadadri temple might be difficult

Mr R. Arjun Kumar, 65, from Nagole said his family used to visit the shrine since his childhood.

Hyderabad: After the Yadadri Temple Development Authority demolishes accommodation facilities on the Yadadri hill, pilgrims who take a vow to stay overnight at the temple will find it difficult. Mr R. Arjun Kumar, 65, from Nagole said his family used to visit the shrine since his childhood.

“We used to get shiromundan (tonsuring), taking a dip in the Vishnukunda, having darshan of Lord Narsimhaswamy, offering special pujas and staying at the shrine for at least one night,” he said.

“If we cannot do it, we will feel bad,” he added requesting for an open place to sleep at the shrine overnight.

Alair former legislator Motkupalli Narsimhulu said they would have no objection to the plan of removing residential facilities from the hill.
