Murder and abuse charges on gangster Nayeem

A case has been booked under section 5 (i) and (m) of POSCO Act read with Section 6 of the same Act.

Hyderabad: Based on confessions of Nayeem’s cook Farhana, who is in police custody, the Narsingi police added a murder charge and the POSCO Act on Nayeem for killing a child in his den and also for sexually abusing young girls.

Narsingi police, while seeking the custody of Farhana and another woman, Afsha, wife of Nayeem’s driver, on Friday before the 23rd Metropolitan Magistrate’s Court of Cyberabad at Rajendranagar, added the POSCO Act against Nayeem’s gang for abusing children and adolescent girls. POSCO Act is applicable for victims up to 18 years.

Based on a statement by the two women close to Nayeem saying that the gangster had killed a man and a child, police added Section 302 IPC to the charges.

“Farhana told about the heinous offences by the deceased Nayeem and his family members like murders, and sexual and physical assault on children who are presently lodged at Hydershakot and Saidabad homes. As per the statements of Farhana and Afsha, Section 302 IPC for murder, 201 IPC (erasing the evidence), 326 (causing hurt with dangerous weapons) and the POSCO Act have been added in addition to existing sections of criminal conspiracy and the Arms and Explosive Substance Act,” stated the Narsingi police in remand report.

A case has been booked under section 5 (i) and (m) of POSCO Act read with Section 6 of the same Act. The remand report stated, “Nayeem had properties at Jabalpur, Chhattisgarh, Goa, AP, Maharashtra.”

Police said recently Nayeem’s gang had extorted Rs 50 lakh from a target in Champapet and Rs 30 lakh from another target at Sagar Rao.
