Telangana Advocate General resigns: Reshuffle of law officers likely
Hyderabad: In an unexpected move, K. Ramakrishna Reddy, the first advocate-general of Telangana State, has submitted his resignation to the state government. Mr Reddy faxed his resignation to the Chief Secretary of the government on Wednesday. Mr Ramakrishna Reddy practised before the Hyderabad High Court for three decades.
Mr Reddy successfully represented the newly-formed state of Telangana in the High Court as well as in the Supreme Court in his three years as Advocate General.
With the resignation of the current Advocate General, there is likely to be a reshuffle in the existing team of law officers of the government at the High Court, including Additional Advocate General J. Ramachandra Rao.
The team of law officers was appointed based on Mr Ramakrishna Reddy’s advice and the new Advocate General will select a team of law officers of his choice.
