JAC seeks CBI enquiry into Group-I results

Unemployed JAC also demanded cancellation of Group-I exams held in 2016 alleging it was a scam.

Hyderabad: Telangana Unemployed Joint Action Committee (JAC) burnt the effigy of Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao on Wednesday demanding a CBI enquiry into the Group-I results. Unemployed JAC also demanded cancellation of Group-I exams held in 2016 alleging it was a scam.

K. Manavatha Roy, chairman unemployed JAC said, “The court had directed that exams be conducted with the same syllabus which was conducted in undivided AP and for CCTV cameras during examination. Telangana government neither followed orders of CCTV cameras but also changed the syllabus against Supreme Court order due to which many aspirants suffered even in the re-exam.”as there were ten mistakes in the re-examination’’.

He adds, ‘The results were released on June 2nd 2017 for the 141 posts. As per the rules, the members for the certificate verification should be considered in the ratio of 1:2, which means, the board should select 282 members for the posts, but the board selected only 240 members for the verification process. The members who weren't called for verification as per the rules approached the SC and the SC ordered TSPSC to give the details of the whole scenario. Even though the issue is still in the court, the board again called 12 members for the certificate verification process’’
