Speaking about the issue, S. Srinivas Reddy, a farmer, who protested in front of the MRO on Wednesday said, “There are around 300 farmers who are still waiting for pass books in surrounding villages like Ramachandrapuram and others. It has almost been two years since the survey was completed. However they are not issuing passbooks to the farmers. When approached, MRO office staff state that they are busy due to the elections. We have have been roaming around the MRO office for pass books since one year. We have called for a dharna on Tuesday and hope that officials will change. We approached them on Wednesday but there is no change in their attitude.

Another farmer said, “In Koheda mandal only 36 per cent of farmers have got passbooks. In all other models of Siddipet district 70 per cent of farmers received pass books and claimed the Rythu Bandhu scheme. This is the third phase of the Rythu Bandhu scheme and there are around 300 farmers still waiting for the pass books.”
