Rash riding kills Yemeni student

The police, who were informed, rushed to the spot and took the two to a nearby hospital.

Bengaluru: A 21-year-old D. Pharma student from Yemen was killed, while his friend sustained injuries when their bike crashed into the median on Hennur Flyover on Monday night.

The deceased, Abdul, was a resident of Marathahalli and a student of D. Pharma in a college near Thannisandra. Abdul was riding the bike, while Mazil was on the pillion. Both were D. Pharma students and were allegedly riding rashly.

They were heading towards Marathahalli from Hennur Cross. While taking a turn onto the Hennur flyover, Abdul lost control and crashed into the median. Abdul and Mazeel were thrown off the bike and they crashed on the road sustaining injuries.

The police, who were informed, rushed to the spot and took the two to a nearby hospital. Abdul was later shifted to Nimhans where he died around 11 pm on Monday. Mazeel is undergoing treatment and is said to be out of danger.

A case has been registered by the Banaswadi traffic police.
