Chennai: Issues on acquiring land is bogging down the implementation of the intra-state river linking projects, Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami has informed the Assembly on Tuesday.

Intervening during the debate on the demand for grants for Agriculture department, he said “the government does not want a single drop of water to be wasted.”

While the opposition DMK claimed that its party had been the basis for the departments to perform better now, Revenue Minister R. B. Udayakumar retorted saying, “the foundation you had laid is weak. We won recognition due to the administrative abilities of our Amma (late CM Jayalalithaa). The credit goes to the Amma government.”
