HMDA seeks more time to clear LRS applications
Hyderabad: The Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority yet again writes to the government to extend the date of Layout Regularisation Scheme (LRS) by a month.
Officials claimed that the due land record updation programme, considered one of the flagship programmes of the TRS government, has delayed the LRS process.
Even though the authority has completed the due process to dispose LRS application, the district collectors were yet to issue No Objection Certificates, which would be the final stage in the process. As many as 9,000 applications have been pending with such issues.
The HMDA official said that the authority has been able to clear a total of 1,02,000 applications, and kept 9,000 applications pending for NOCs.
The total number of applications received by the HMDA stood at 1.75 lakh, of which 10,000 did not come with relevant fees.
Of the remaining, 54,000 applications have been rejected for various reasons.
He said that in order to dispose all pending applications, the HMDA has sought one month time.
