Hyderabad: Techies cleared litter at Minister K.T. Rama Rao’s adopted Hydernagar division in Nizampet on Saturday as part of the Shubhra Hyderabad Campaign conducted by Planet 3 Protection Alliance along with GHMC.
Shubhra Hyderabad is a weekly cleanup campaign where in citizens are engaged to devote an hour from their week for cleanup activities. Around 50 volunteers including students and people from corporate companies like Media Mint, TCS, Infosys, Buildium and Salesforce Hyderabad joined hands to clear litter from the cricket ground at Nizampet.
Malla Ashurtha, the youngest volunteer studying Class VI in Goutam Model School, joined zonal commissioner Harichandana Dasari in the plogging activity.
MBA students Sai Krupa along with her friend Sita Vaishnavi who have been participating in cleaning the Cyberabad area from past four weeks said, “We read about the initiative online and wanted to give back to our society by allocating one hour from our lives per week.” Earlier this week, KTR through Twitter ahd extended his support for the initiative.
