Hyderabad: A septuagenarian committed suicide at her residence in Malakpet. The victim, B. Yellamma, 75, of Pochamma Basti in Malakpet, had complained that
“Yellamma had four sons and stayed with them in the same locality. On Thursday, the family was heading to a wedding and Yellamma had also expressed her interest in joining them. The family asked her to stay back at home as it was sunny outside,” said Malakpet sub-inspector M. Tulasiah.
Agitated at being left behind even after she asked to join them, Yellamma committed suicide by hanging herself in the house.
Her body was found by the family after it returned from the wedding. Based on a complaint given by her eldest son Mahender Goud, a case was registered under Section 174 (suspicious death) of CrPC and the body was sent to postmortem.
