Hyderabad: 3 techies die in car mishap
Hyderabad: Three techies were killed and a friend travelling with them was gravely injured when the car they were travelling in hit a van on Friday morning. The victims were identified as N. Raviteja, P. Surya Teja, and T. Rohit. Their injured friend was Kiran Kumar.
Police said the four were old friends and classmates at IIT Kharagpur. They were going from Gachibowli to Khammam for a wedding and were in a Hyundai Verna (AP16 BB 3888). It was allegedly being driven at a high speed when it dashed into a DCM from behind. The car toppled over under the impact of the crash, killing the three techies and injuring Kiran Kumar.
“The car was being driven by Surya Teja at high speed. Raviteja and Surya Teja died on the spot. Rohit was rushed to Osmania Hospital where he died while undergoing treatment. Kiran Kumar has been admitted to Care Hospital where his condition is said to be normal,” said Pahadi Sharif sub-inspector S. Chandra Reddy. Based on a complaint given by Rohit’s uncle, Srinivas Rao, a businessman, a case was registered at the Pahadi Sharif police station.
