CM may face probe on Jishnu Prannoy case advert
A private petition filed against the CM and PRD officials alleged that the ad had flouted norms.
Thiruvananthapuram: The Inquiry Commissioner and Vigilance Special Court here is likely to issue orders on May 27 on a petition seeking a probe against Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan regarding the advertisement related to the death of engineering student Jishnu Prannoy. A maintainability hearing on the case was held on Friday.
A private petition was filed by Paichira Navaz against the chief minister and public relations department officials alleging that the advertisement given in print media regarding the government’s stand and actions on Jishnu Prannoy's case was done flouting norms.
It was given while Jishnu's parents were staging a hunger stir following police action on them near the police headquarters last month.
