Andhra Pradesh starts bus tours to Amaravati

Incidentally, the state government has given three days holiday for the Secretariat employees to visit the Amaravati capital.

Vijayawada: The AP government has introduced the “Amaravati Capital Tour” for people wanting to visit AP's new capital location. The government will provide lunch and snacks for visitors, charging Rs 400 per head for adults and Rs 300 for children.

The Undavalli caves, capital foundation stone, famous Amaralingeswara temple, Buddha Kalachakra museum, Mangalagiri Lakshminarasimha Swami temple are the places visitors will get to see as part of the tour. Special buses will start from Vijayawada.

Incidentally, the state government has given three days holiday for the Secretariat employees to visit the Amaravati capital. The holidays have been announced for employees to get an idea of their future work place and also to prepare plans for residential and educational needs.

The tour plan and arrangements has been allotted to the Tourism Department.
The visitors can get advance reservation tickets from tourism department’s central reservation office at Bandar Road in Vijayawada. Of late, the number of people visiting the capital city location has been increasing, during holidays, the crowds are getting especially thicker.

Tourism official A. Dayasagar said that the special bus would be plied every day from Vijayawada city. He said that the even if there are fewer visitors, the tour would continue. The bus will start at 9 am from the tourism wing’s central office and return at 5 pm.
