Frustrated MK Stalin criticises AIADMK: O Panneerselvam
Chennai: DMK president M.K. Stalin has resorted to criticising the AIADMK as he miserably failed to become the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam has said.
"Stalin who is frustrated that he could not become chief minister is criticising the AIADMK," Mr. Panneerselvam said at Alanganallur on Friday while campaigning for his son and party candidate for Theni Lok Sabha constituency Ravindranath Kumar.
Averring that anyone in AIADMK could reach the top position in the party like he and Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami had attained the top posts, he said such a thing can never be possible in the DMK. "Can anyone in the DMK become its party president? Impossible. But in our AIADMK anyone can attain the top post like me or Mr. Palaniswami. Even one among you can reach the top post," he said pointing to the crowd around. Panneerselvam said the demand of the people to have a new taluk with Alanganallur as its headquarters would become a reality soon. He promised a new college, a cold storage facility for vegetables and fruits grown in the region and a memorial for jallikattu. ‘The Chief Minister had promised to desilt Sattaiyar dam at a cost of Rs 3 crore and efforts were on to formulate a new drinking water scheme for the region.’
