Hyderabad: A 12-year-old girl who was playing in an under-construction building in Chaitanyapuri slipped and fell from the second floor and died in a hospital while under treatment.
She was the daughter of Harinath, an outsourcing employee of the GHMC and resident of Municipal Colony, who was building the house.
Around about 6 am, Harinath and his elder daughter Yoga Varshini, a Class VI student, went to the under-construction house for curing. Sometime later, Harinath went down to the ground floor while Varshini waited on the second floor.
“Varshini slipped and fell off from the second floor, and her head hit a stone. She also fractured her left hand. Her father, with the help of others, rushed to a private hospital nearby and then to another hospital at Chaderghat, where the doctors advised to shift her to Yashoda Hospital for better treatment as she had gone into a coma. The girl succumbed to her injuries around 3 pm,” said Chaitanyapuri inspector S. Sudershan.
