Hyderabad: Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH) students from the Dalit and tribal communities held a protest against Professor Chennakeshaya Reddy and demanded his removal over the objectionable comments he made on Dalits.
Student associations have called for a university bandh on Thursday under the direction of Dalit and tribal students’ associations. Professor Reddy made ojectionable remarks on the Dalit students after they held a protest against the Supreme Court’s ruling a few days ago.
Students demand resignation of Professor Chennakeshwar Reddy and demanded to book a case against the professor under the ST/SC Atrocities Act. Students plans to protest until the professor resigns from his position and a case is booked against him.
