Coimbatore: Some law college students boycotted classes on Tuesday and staged a protest in front of their college near Marudhamalai in the suburbs of Coimbatore, over the Pollachi sex scam issue.

Meanwhile, some law college students boycotted classes on Tuesday and staged a protest in front of their college gate, demanding a CBI probe. Simultaneously a group of student members of the SFI besieged the district collector’s office on Tuesday demanding a fair probe and arrest of the entire gang involved in this case.
Many lawyers and women’s organisations have urged handing over the case to the CB-CID and alleged that the district police have taken a partial stand to safeguard politicians involved in the case. The District SP, Pandiyarajan has written to the DGP seeking a CB-CID probe in this case.
A police higher officer said that by Tuesday night or Wednesday, the case would be transferred to the CB-CID.
