Hyderabad: Rainbow hospital files case over name
Hyderabad: The use of the same brand name ‘Rainbow Children’s Hospital’ by a hospital in Nellore has led the Hyderabad-based Rainbow Hospitals to file a police complaint under the Trademarks Act 1999. They alleged that patients were incorrectly being made to believe that it was the same hospital. The complaint was filed by Rainbow Hospitals in Banjara Hills after they received patients with complaints from Nellore, stating that their other branch was not good.
After investigations it was found that KIDZ Rainbow Children and Baby Hospital was misleading people with the same name, alleged Rainbow Children’s Medicare Private Limited.
The hospital in alleged that it was done with a dishonest intention, and fraudulent motive. It had created confusion in the minds of the people since the same name was being used.
The police case has led to the seizure of hard drives, bill books and prescription pads of the KIDZ Rainbow Children and Baby Hospital.
in Nellore. The management has taken the action as despite sending notices the names were not changed and they wanted to protect their own reputation. The management is now mulling legal action against the hospital in Nellore.
