Sarang team thrills Mauritians
THIRUVANANTHPAURAM: The Sarang helicopter display team of Indian Air Force performed in the Mauritius city of Mahebourg at the island nation's National Day celebrations on Monday. IAF sources said the crowd at the carnival was awestruck and cheered their hearts to their daredevil aerobatics. Each manoeuvre kept increasing the heartbeat of the audience waiting for the next move by the pilots. As pilots swung the helicopters and made them dance to their tunes, the Mauritians participated with equal enthusiasm and applauded their efforts and skills.
At Champ De Mars, President Ram Nath Kovind was present. They perform at two more venue - at Mahebourg waterfront on March 15 and at Mon Choisy Beach on March 18. The motto “Lame de Lame” was displayed when the flypast flew. The show stoppers were four Sarang helicopters and the flag trooping of India by Navy helicopter. CASA aircraft of French Air Force, 02 Dorniers of Maritime Air Squadron, Eagle helicopter formation with one Dhruv and 02 Chetaks of Mauritius Police also participated.
