Hyderabad: The city will experience thunderstorms, ranging from heavy rain to lightning and hailstorm, especially towards the evening, from Monday, India Meteorological De-partment officials, said.
Moderate rain will occur at isolated places in Telangana and coastal AP, officials said. At about the same time in last year, thundershowers triggered by a depression had killed three people in Medak district and damaged crop on thousands of hectares.
IMD assistant meteorologist N. Narasimha Rao, said southerly moist winds were flowing into the state and cumulonimbus clouds were forming. These clouds bring rain and thunderstorms. Thunderstorm activity will begin from Monday.
The weather will be more intense in the city. “In places where the air is full of pollutants, the chances of the intensity of the storm increasing are high,” Mr Rao said.
