Teachers seek inter-state transfers

Government teachers working in AP and teachers from AP working in TS were facing a lot of difficulties in performing their duties.

Hyderabad: Panchayat Raj Teachers Union (PRTU) and TRS MLC on Tuesday requested Chief Secretary S.K. Joshi to examine the possibility of interstate transfers for spouses on a mutual basis for the benefit of Telangana state native teachers working in Andhra Pradesh.

Party chief whip of the TRS in the Telangana Legislative Council P. Sudhakar Reddy and PRTU president Anji Reddy brought to the notice of the CS that government teachers working in AP and teachers from AP working in TS were facing a lot of difficulties in performing their duties and had requested for interstate transfer as per local cadre rules.

While requesting the CS to consider the interstate transfers, they also urged him, in view of the Supreme Court staying the High Court order with regard to unification of teachers services, frame the rules for promotions of deputy educational, mandal educational, government headmasters and junior lecturers and other teachers.
