Nizamabad: Rathasapthami was celebrated with pomp and gaiety on Tuesday in
Nizamabad. Neela Kanteshwara Temple was well decorated for the festival.
On the occasion, Kanteshwar Jatara was organised on the premises of the temple. A large number of devotees thronged the temple and had darshan of chario (Ratham).
Few of them, pulled the chariot up to the Thalli Ghori (mother’s grave) near the e-Seva centre.
Devotees witnessed the procession with religious fervour.
Police made elaborate security arrangements to avoid any untoward incident.
They diverted vehicular traffic from Kanteshwar to Subhashnagar, Chandrasekhar Colony, Bypass Road to Armoor Road.
Kanteshwar Jatara will be continued for three days.
