Bengaluru: 35 pigs stolen from Anekal farm

Bengaluru: The Anekal police are searching for pig thieves who had stolen 35 pigs from a piggery in Anekal.

Piggery owner Ravi Subbanna has filed a complaint with the police stating that 35 pigs, each weighing 60 kg, were stolen from his farm in Adur village near Anekal town.

According to the complaint, Ravi reared 85 pigs in his farm. On Monday, when he went to check the animals, he found 35 pigs missing.

“I had been to the farm on Sunday to feed the animal. After feeding, I locked the farm and returned home. On Monday morning when I went to the farm as usual, I found 35 pigs missing. The thieves had broken the lock to gain entry," Ravi told police.

The police have registered a case and suspect that the thieves knew about Ravi's routine.
