Co-operative discussions bear fruit.

Kannur: The Co-operative Congress could ensure its full support to Kerala Bank and though certain doubts persists, it would be an Onam gift to the state, said minister Kadakampally Suren-dran. He was inaugurating the concluding session of the Congress held here on Monday. “The venue of Cooperative Congress gave path for serious discussions including Kerala Bank. So, we have also decided to organise the Congress once in every three years. The next session would be held in February 2021,” the minister said. The seminar was held in 10 important topics, the foremost being Kerala Bank.

The functioning of the bank would be to offer support to all kinds of primary groups, said Task Force chairman V.R. Raveendranath. Kerala Bank would then turn into an apex bank of the credit societies. It can offer support to collectives including Kudumbasree, he said. Kozhikode district bank former president Manayath Chandran sought white paper since many information regarding the Bank was still not clear.
