Warangal: Coolers out as mercury peaks early

The lowest temperature registered was 19°c against the average 11°c of the past years.

WARANGAL: Warangal is enduring sweltering heat with elderly people complaining this is the hottest winter they have ever experienced. Usually, during this time of the year, people would be waiting for the sun to come out so that they could find some relief from the biting cold in the early morning hours. This year, with absence of the cold weather, the normal daytime temperature that used to be about 29°c this time in previous years, has gone up to 37°c.

The lowest temperature registered was 19°c against the average 11°c of the past years. This resulted in a humid weather and people prefer to stay indoors as the day progresses into mid-afternoon. Many households have already pulled out their ACs from the storerooms and set them up in their living rooms. Businessmen too brought their coolers and set them inside or outside the shops.
